Ellen has been a part of the USAA government relations team since 2002. She is currently the Assitant Vice President for Government Relations overseeing the government affair activities for Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Hawaii.
Ellen came to USAA after six years as the CEO of the Arizona Bankers Association, where she worked in government relations at both the state and federal level. During her 22 years in Arizona she also has practiced law and has worked for the Arizona State Senate. Ellen received her law degree with honors from George Washington University, where she was a member of the law review and the moot court board.
She also has two bachelors degrees from Virginia Tech.
Ellen sits on the boards of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce; the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce PAC; the Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association; the New Mexico Insurers Council, and the Colorado Civil Justice League.
She is admitted to practice law in Arizona and the District of Columbia.
